Airline offers the CEB Wifi Kit as option for its passengers
Cebu Pacific has launched a WiFi service that’s provided via a separate device — the CEB WiFi Kit — created in partnership with Big Sky Nation.
This pocket device is a rentable WiFi hotspot, for travelers who need roaming and web access throughout their trip. To start, the CEB WiFi Kit will be available for flights departing from NAIA Terminal 3, through the dedicated CEB WiFi Kit booth at the same terminal; and it will be available for purchase up to one hour before the scheduled time of departure.
Users of the CEB WiFi Kit can enjoy unlimited data roaming with up to 4G/LTE speeds, and this will cover more than 100 countries. It can also connect up to five devices and can function as a power bank for other devices.
At pick-up, the device will come in a hard-shell case, with a USB cable, battery pack (within the device), user manual and a delivery receipt. Cost of rental will be based on the number of days for which the device is needed — plus a refundable security deposit of P4,000. The cost of the day pass will be the daily rate of the zone where roaming is to take place, multiplied by the number of days that the device is to be rented for.
Prices and zones covered:
- Zone 1 (P450 a day) — CEB destinations in Asia (except Brunei and the United Arab Emirates)
- Zone 2 (P550 a day) — CEB destinations in Australia and Guam, plus other countries outside the CEB network
Upon returning to NAIA Terminal 3, users are required to return their devices to the CEB WiFi Kit booth located in the arrival area.
Zones are subject to change and may not cover certain territories. For more information on pricings, rental terms and conditions, visit bit.ly/CEBWifiKit.
