Ongoing work on restoring the application server of airline’s customer rewards program
Cebu Pacific said the compromised GetGo application server has been isolated, following an unauthorized access on April 24. “We have contained the situation, and can confirm that no credit card information was accessed and GetGo member points are secured in locked accounts,” confirms in a statement.
The following functionalities have been restored for the members of CEB’s customer rewards program:
- Member log-in to the Cebu Pacific website and the CEB Mobile App
- Manage bookings via the Cebu Pacific website
- Earn points for flights booked
- Check-in for flights
The airline continues to work on re-establishing the GetGo application server. In the meantime, the following channels and functionalities remain disabled:
- The GetGo website
- GetGo Mobile App
- Points redemption
- Password reset for GetGo and for the Cebu Pacific Mobile App and Web
Cebu Pacific continues to work with the National Privacy Commission on this investigation.
