For Valentine’s Day, The Manila Hotel combines music, food and romance in “Taste of Love” at 7pm at the Fiesta Pavillion. Here’s what you can expect from Manila city‘s grand dame:
Romantic serenade from Christian Bautista
The one-night-only event features balladeer Christian Bautista, who will be serenading the guests throughout dinner. His performance will include five covers, including “Beautiful Girl”, “Ligaya” by the Eraserhaads, and such romantic classics as “La Vie en Rose“, “That’s Amore”, “Because of You”, and “My Cherie Amour”.
Bespoke dinner from Chef Walter Konrad
Each dish will tell a unique lovers’ story, as executive chef Walter Konrad pays homage to the great romances of history. Chef Walter features lovers including Ingrid Bergmann and Roberto Rossellini, Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera, Jackie and John Kennedy and even William Shakespeare’s star-crossed lovers, Romeo and Juliet.
Ticket prices for “Taste of Love” start at PHP4,000. The hotel offers a 20% discount on two tickets to the event, for those who will also avail of the hotel’s Valentine Staycation Package (PHP6,999 nett for a Superior Deluxe room, inclusive of a buffet for two, a complimentary bottle of wine, and a box of pralines).
