How To Choose The Right Perfume

Your sense of smell is a powerful thing — and the right fragrance can inspire specific moods and memories. Here are some scents to match your (romantic) sensibilities and help create an unforgettable impression.

Ask The Expert!

Q: How do you choose the right perfume?

For first dates, opt to keep it light — figuratively and olfactorily. You want to be refreshing and memorable on a first meeting. Try light florals and citruses, paired with a gourmand note — chocolate or vanilla, perhaps? — to let your date know how yummy you are!

To convey an aura of mystique, try fragrances that aren’t easy to pin down. Nothing too overpowering, but still unique: Go for oud, rare florals and spices.

For a more sensual touch, try headier florals and musky notes.

Work with scents that complement your pH levels. There’s nothing sexier than a person who loves a fragrance and knows how great it smells on them.
