Explore your wild side at the city’s newest attraction
In honor of the Singapore Zoo’s 45th anniversary, Rainforest Lumina was launched last July in the city state and is now open to curious visitors of all ages. Essentially a one-kilometer-long trail, Rainforest Lumina features over 10 zones, each filled with dazzling light and sound installations starring creatures such as the lovable orangutan and the adorable sloth.
The seasonal night walk was conceptualized by Moment Factory — a multimedia entertainment studio that specializes in making immersive environments a reality through an intriguing combination of creative lighting, sound design and projection mapping.
Although chances of spotting real animals throughout the walk are slim, be ready to explore the Singapore Zoo with the “Creature Crew”. We don’t want to spoil anything, so we’ll just say they’re a group of unlikely characters you’ll get to know better when you step into this feast for the senses — a must-see that you should add to your itinerary in Singapore.

“Enjoy a leisurely night walk (which will take around 45 minutes to an hour) through a luminous rainforest and unleash your childlike wonder in this exploratory journey. Don’t forget your cameras and phones because Rainforest Lumina is great for creating magical Instagram moments. The show will run until February 2019 but some nights have already been sold out. Buy your tickets in advance online to avoid disappointment.” – Danny Tan, Rainforest Lumina project lead
