For those thinking of a year-end break or sabbatical, and not sure where to start
Nov 22 – Dec 21: Too much thinking and not very much doing? It’s time to put aside the year’s stresses and treat yourself — especially with the bonus you’ve just received. It feels like the best time for some frivolity and fresh air — maybe it’s time to check that sky dive in Dubai off your bucket list?
Dec 22 – Jan 19: Has it been a busy month of missed opportunities with your significant other? Or are you single and ready to mingle? With festive activities being held across the network — Christmas in Seoul and the New Year countdown in Sydney, anyone? — there’s plenty of opportunity for romance and it’s not too late to pencil in a holiday.
Jan 20 – Feb 18: It feels like just as you’ve reaped what you’ve sown, someone has come to take that away from you — and maybe that was expected, as in the form of an insurance payout. That’s OK though — there are other ways to indulge in self-care. How about fine wine and cheese, and Netflix and chill?
February 19 – March 20: You might begin the month feeling fresh and keen to go with the flow, where it comes to fulfilling a desire. Is it blissing out on an island? Or trying your luck at the casino slots? Whatever it is, you have the luck of fertility (in every sense of the word) and fulfilling journeys, so go forth and prosper!
March 21 – April 19: This month carries themes that relate to the Divine Feminine and that includes aspects like wisdom, patience and flexibility. Lean in on your nurturing spirit and satisfy your soul — maybe by getting that yoga teacher certification, so that you can impart the practice to budding yogis.
April 20 – May 20: Looking back on the year and feeling like you’ve overlooked some of your loved ones? Now’s the time to check in on them. Be the one to initiate and plan an itinerary for your crew, or book out a nice restaurant — even a meal with the jolly red bee would be very much loved, we think! — to pamper your favorite people in the world.
May 21 – June 20: There’s no better time than now to feel thankful — especially as you’ve just seen out another year, and are all set to welcome a new one. Whether it has been a smooth-sailing or nail-biting year, you’re asked to look inward — how about an Eat, Pray, Love-type retreat in Bali? — so that you can begin 2019 on a fresh, clean slate.
June 21 – July 22: A recent rough patch isn’t about to hold you back from going after a change of scene. Get to higher ground — think a trek up Dragon’s Back ridge in Hong Kong — or visit places you’ve never been to before, while island-hopping in the Philippines.
July 23 – August 22: Has it been a year of tough lessons in all things to do with love and emotions? It seems you’ve finally come to terms with things and settled into a calmer groove. Peaceful waters, in that sense, and tranquil surrounds beckon to you. Continue on your restful interlude at a waterside locale — glamping in the outskirts of Bangkok could do the trick.
August 23 – September 22: It’s time to turn your unwavering attention to detail back onto yourself. You’re called to see the bigger picture of the situation that concerns you most now. Getting back to nature (aka more walks in the park) might be the best option for you.
September 23 – October 22: It seems you’ve been employing avoidance tactics in the face of situations that should help broaden your mind and horizons. It’s time to come out of your shell. Could it be that paragliding activity your friends asked you along to? Or that swim with the wild dolphins that you’ve resisted? You won’t know what you’re missing until you face it.
October 23 – November 21: Have you been keeping your nose to the grindstone? This month, keep your closest confidants near — talking things out could be just the antidote. Then plan a fun outing with them — whether it’s a craftwork class or a walk through a forest canopy — to balance and lift the spirit.
